Прокуратура посчитала наказание чрезмерно мягким, поэтому попросила ВС приговорить подсудимого к реальному лишению свободы, определить судьбу вещественных доказательств — изъятых у подсудимого 320 тыс. руб. — и дополнительно лишить его права работать муниципальным и госслужащим на восемь лет. Суд оставил штраф в силе и запретил Ильшату Ишмуратову работать на госслужбе в течение семи лет.
