По информации Baza, погибший внутри головы монумента «Родина-мать зовет!» - 68 летний ректор московской государственной академии физической культуры Николай Чесноков. Предварительная причина – остановка сердца во время экскурсии, которая, вероятно, была нелегальной.
На месте работают следственные органы, полиция и спасатели. Сейчас решается вопрос о том, как безопасно извлечь тело из конструкции. Вход внутрь монумента временно закрыт. Посетителям сообщают о технических причинах.
