Осенью 2023 года ушел на фронт, защищать Родину. Служил в 217-м гвардейском парашютно-десантном полку 98-й гвардейской воздушно-десантной дивизии. 15 января 2024 года гвардии рядовой Айдар Магарифович Ахмадуллин героически погиб, при выполнении боевой задачи. Награжден Орденом «Мужества» (посмертно).
