Останніми днями було багато новин про звільнення 90% команди розробників Sigil. Фактично, це означає зупинку розробки проєкту - ще одна спроба Візардів створити свій VTT провалилась. Так, це не перша їхня спроба...
Відверто, у мене змішані емоції. З одного боку, я не здивований - WotC майже не вклались у маркетинг, а сама ідея була гнила від початку (хайпанути на BG3).
З іншого боку - мені особисто сподобався Sigil. Він би точно не замінив Foundry чи Roll20, але мені в прикол було б раз на місяць прогнати якийсь ван-шот там. Ми тестували його з друзями, і загалом досвід був позитивний.
Якщо Sigil продовжить банальне існування на милицях - мені особисто ок. Система входить в мою наявну підписку D&D Beyond, і нікому не заважає фактом свого існування.

Andrey, a Russian entrepreneur living in Brazil who, fearing retaliation, asked that NPR not use his last name, said Telegram has become one of the few places Russians can access independent news about the war. At its heart, Telegram is little more than a messaging app like WhatsApp or Signal. But it also offers open channels that enable a single user, or a group of users, to communicate with large numbers in a method similar to a Twitter account. This has proven to be both a blessing and a curse for Telegram and its users, since these channels can be used for both good and ill. Right now, as Wired reports, the app is a key way for Ukrainians to receive updates from the government during the invasion. The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. So much so that the Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council issued a statement labeling which accounts are Russian-backed. Ukrainian officials, in potential violation of the Geneva Convention, have shared imagery of dead and captured Russian soldiers on the platform. "The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers.
