Думала, что это будет лёгкое чтение исключительно с целью почмотреть, а как шла мысль у человека в 1858 году, когда биология была исключительно описательной наукой. Словом, ничего актуального увидеть не ожидала. Но тут я натыкаюсь на такую замечательную фразу. "Но обсуждать вопрос, следует ли их называть видами или разновидностями, пока не существует общепризнанного определения этих терминов, значило бы попусту толочь воду в ступе. "
167 лет прошло, господа. А это актуалочка всё такая же. Что такое вид и существует ли это понятие в природе за пределами человеческого сознания так никто и не знает. И генетика нам не помогла и секвенирование. Никто не знает, что такое вид, но всё понимание эволюционных процессов,что мы имеем возникло благодаря разглагольствованию вокруг этого несуществующего термина. Вот и польза пустопорожних размышлений.
