Дорогие друзья! Сегодня начала свою работу приемная комиссия. Первые абитуриенты сдали документы. Символично, что именно в этот день в университете собрался первый (!) выпуск экономического факультета (1975 год). Декан факультета Слепнева Людмила Романовна провела для них экскурсию по музею ВСГУТУ. Многие из этого выпуска достигли высот. Наш экономический факультет сильный и готовит хороших специалистов! Приятно было видеть первых выпускников бодрыми, веселымии и жизнерадостными. Всем хороших выходных!

Russia's intelligence agency had asked Durov to turn over the data of anti-Kremlin protesters. Durov refused to do so. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts. Pavel Durov, a billionaire who embraces an all-black wardrobe and is often compared to the character Neo from "the Matrix," funds Telegram through his personal wealth and debt financing. And despite being one of the world's most popular tech companies, Telegram reportedly has only about 30 employees who defer to Durov for most major decisions about the platform. In the United States, Telegram's lower public profile has helped it mostly avoid high level scrutiny from Congress, but it has not gone unnoticed.
