عبدالحسین روح‌الامینی نماینده فعلی مجلس در گفتگویی ویدیویی روایت می‌کند که شیخ ناطق نوری در اعتراض به مناظرات انتخابات ۸۸ و روی‌کارآمدن احمدی‌نژاد از مسئولیت بازرسی دفتر ولی فقیه استعفا داده اما او در همان ایام به ناطق نوری توصیه می‌کرده که در سخنانی از رهبر جمهوری اسلامی تعریف و تمجید کند. محسن روح‌الامینی از معترضان جنبش سبز بود که در پی تظاهرات ۱۸تیر ۸۸ به زندان کهریزک منتقل شد و بر اثر شکنجه به شهادت رسید. معلوم نیست جلسه‌ای که روح‌الامینی به آن اشاره می‌کند مربوط به قبل از ۱۸ تیر است یا بعد از آن، اما به هرحال توصیفی است از غربت شهید محسن روح‌الامینی که پدر به‌جای دادخواهی، خون پسر را نردبان ترقی کرد.
