Баржи проекта RDB66.68M предназначены для перевозки минерально-строительных материалов с использованием грейферов грузоподъемностью до 16 тонн, а также различных тарно-штучных и негабаритных грузов с удельной нагрузкой на палубу до 10 т/кв. м, включая опасные грузы в заводской таре или контейнерах.
Баржа-площадка проекта RDB66.68M разработана РЦПКБ «Стапель». Длина баржи 90,2 м, ширина — 14,5 м, грузоподъемность — 2500 т, водоизмещение — 3200 т.
