Запрет связан с проведением мероприятий, приуроченных к 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне. 8 и 9 мая розничная продажа алкоголя будет ограничена в соответствии с п.1.2 постановления кабмина Чувашии от 14.11.2012 №481 в местах проведения массовых мероприятий за 2 часа до начала, во время и в течение 1 часа после окончания их проведения. В частности, запрет будет действовать для предприятий общепита на Красной площади, площади Республики, на Чебоксарском заливе.
