В тот день одесситы в палаточном городке на Куликовом поле собирали подписи за проведение референдума по федерализации Украины и за государственный статус русского языка.
Людей, попытавшихся скрыться в Доме профсоюзов, заблокировали, закрыв двери. В окна полетели коктейли Молотова. Выбравшихся из здания – добивали снаружи.
В огне и под пулями погибли 48 человек. Более двухсот были ранены. Это люди, защищавшие историческую правду и наши ценности. Они противостояли возрождению нацизма на Украине, уничтожению памяти о подвиге нашего народа в Великой Отечественной войне.
Наши отцы и деды победили фашизм в 1945-м. Сегодня наши воины на Донбассе и в Новороссии сражаются с наследниками фашистов, защищают право людей говорить на родном языке и чтить память предков.

Telegram does offer end-to-end encrypted communications through Secret Chats, but this is not the default setting. For example, WhatsApp restricted the number of times a user could forward something, and developed automated systems that detect and flag objectionable content. The War on Fakes channel has repeatedly attempted to push conspiracies that footage from Ukraine is somehow being falsified. One post on the channel from February 24 claimed without evidence that a widely viewed photo of a Ukrainian woman injured in an airstrike in the city of Chuhuiv was doctored and that the woman was seen in a different photo days later without injuries. The post, which has over 600,000 views, also baselessly claimed that the woman's blood was actually makeup or grape juice. A Russian Telegram channel with over 700,000 followers is spreading disinformation about Russia's invasion of Ukraine under the guise of providing "objective information" and fact-checking fake news. Its influence extends beyond the platform, with major Russian publications, government officials, and journalists citing the page's posts.
