Процесс роспуска II Государственной думы, проработавшей 102 дня, вошёл в историю также как «Третьеиюньский переворот», сопровождавшейся изменением избирательной системы.
Что примечательно, вопрос о возможности досрочного роспуска Второй Думы обсуждался еще до ее созыва. Но поскольку Первая Дума была распущена, просуществовав ещё меньше, всего 72 дня, то провели выборы, не сделав почти никаких выводов. Вообще ситуация того времени, хоть и прошла более века назад, но параллели с сегодняшними событиями просматриваются во многом.

Pavel Durov was quoted at the time saying that the company was obliged to follow a “legitimate” law of the land. He added that as Apple and Google both follow the law, to violate it would give both platforms a reason to boot the messenger from its stores.
