Разрабатывая экспортный, коммерческий вариант АК-74М, конструкторы не стали заморачиваться с расчётом новых правил стрельбы, установив на 5.56 мм автоматы АК-101(6П43) и АК-102(6П44) колоду прицела от 5.45 мм АК-74(6П20). Ни о каком совпадение баллистики разных боеприпасов речи быть не может, хотя бы потому, что 5.45 мм автомат АК-105(6П47) имеет собственную колоду прицела под баллистику укороченного ствола. 7.62 мм автоматы АК-103(6П45) и АК-104(6П46) имеют свою колоду прицела, но с углами прицеливания заимствованными у автомата АКМ(6П1).
