26 ноября 2024 года в главном здании БЕН РАН состоялась научная конференция по случаю 100-летия М.М. Бонгарда. В ходе данной конференции с докладами о выдающемся ученом и его вкладе в теорию распознавания образов выступили Д.А. Репин, д.социол.н., заместитель директора ИППИ РАН по административной работе, и К.В. Воронцов, д.ф.-м.н., профессор РАН, профессор кафедры интеллектуальных систем ФУПМ МФТИ.

В библиотеке-отделе БЕН РАН в ИППИ РАН была открыта выставка к юбилею Михаила Моисеевича Бонгарда. С приветственным словом на открытии выступила О.Ю. Клевцова, к.э.н., заместитель директора ИППИ РАН по научно-организационной работе. Также И.М. Зенкин, к.б.н., поделился воспоминаниями о работе с М.М. Бонгардом. Экспозицию можно посетить до 26 декабря по расписанию библиотеки-отдела БЕН РАН в ИППИ РАН.

So, uh, whenever I hear about Telegram, it’s always in relation to something bad. What gives? On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. But Kliuchnikov, the Ukranian now in France, said he will use Signal or WhatsApp for sensitive conversations, but questions around privacy on Telegram do not give him pause when it comes to sharing information about the war. Right now the digital security needs of Russians and Ukrainians are very different, and they lead to very different caveats about how to mitigate the risks associated with using Telegram. For Ukrainians in Ukraine, whose physical safety is at risk because they are in a war zone, digital security is probably not their highest priority. They may value access to news and communication with their loved ones over making sure that all of their communications are encrypted in such a manner that they are indecipherable to Telegram, its employees, or governments with court orders.
