24 мая телескопы LASCO зафиксировали с орбиты нечто удивительное. Рядом с Солнцем появился объект, похожий на гигантскую птицу или корабль с "огненным шлейфом", длина крыла — около 150 тысяч километров. Это более чем в 10 раз превышает размер Земли. Расстояние до Солнца — примерно 2 млн км.
