Так авиаконструктор Николай Ильич Камов назвал свое изобретение – первый советский вертолёт КАСКР-1 «Красный инженер». Название аппарата образовалось от фамилий авторов – Камов-Скржинский. А самым ранним документом, в котором было употреблено слово «вертолёт», является Протокол заседания Технической Комиссии Центрального Совета ОСОАВИАХИМа, датированный как раз 8 февраля 1929 г.
