Сейчас эта работа находится на достаточно низком уровне. До сих пор у нас выращивались только годовалые саженцы с низкой приживаемостью и невысокой ценой. В результате даже муниципалитеты Тамбовской области закупают для высадки деревья-крупномеры в других регионах.
В наших лесхозах есть и площади, и специалисты. Поэтому поставил задачу производить в промышленном масштабе саженцы с закрытой корневой системой. Нужны не сотни, а десятки тысяч деревьев тех видов, которые приживаются в центральной полосе.
Лесному хозяйству региона необходимо научиться обеспечивать себя и приносить пользу - помогать в озеленении наших населённых пунктов, активнее восстанавливать лесной фонд. Мы сами можем всё это делать, ежегодно прибавляя в объёмах.
