У женщин PWV увеличивался на 0,55 м/с — это соответствует старению сосудов на 5 лет. При госпитализации рост составлял +0,60 м/с, а в реанимации доходил до +1,09 м/с. У мужчин изменения были менее выражены.
Главное — эффект сохранялся даже спустя долгое время после выздоровления. Это значит, что COVID-19 запускает долговременные процессы, влияющие на сосуды и повышающие риск осложнений.
Учёные подчёркивают: важно продолжать наблюдения и искать способы профилактики сосудистого старения у переболевших.
