🔹 در انتخابات، چه انتخاب‌کننده باشیم، چه انتخاب‌شونده، نباید فراموش کنیم که این آغاز راه است. یکی از ضعف‌های جامعۀ انقلابی این است که فصلی و مقطعی فعالیت می‌کنیم. بارها به همکاران خانم در مجموعه‌ها تأکید کرده‌ام که فقط در انتخابات فعال نشوید. زنان در جامعه می‌توانند نقش کلیدی و قدرت خودشان را در عرصه انتخابات ثابت کنند و نشان دهند وقتی زنان در جامعه هستند و فعال‌اند، می‌توانند سرنوشت خود و مسیر کشور را انتخاب کنند، چراکه نیمی از جمعیت کشورند و باید اثرگذاری داشته باشند.

This ability to mix the public and the private, as well as the ability to use bots to engage with users has proved to be problematic. In early 2021, a database selling phone numbers pulled from Facebook was selling numbers for $20 per lookup. Similarly, security researchers found a network of deepfake bots on the platform that were generating images of people submitted by users to create non-consensual imagery, some of which involved children. Such instructions could actually endanger people — citizens receive air strike warnings via smartphone alerts. Overall, extreme levels of fear in the market seems to have morphed into something more resembling concern. For example, the Cboe Volatility Index fell from its 2022 peak of 36, which it hit Monday, to around 30 on Friday, a sign of easing tensions. Meanwhile, while the price of WTI crude oil slipped from Sunday’s multiyear high $130 of barrel to $109 a pop. Markets have been expecting heavy restrictions on Russian oil, some of which the U.S. has already imposed, and that would reduce the global supply and bring about even more burdensome inflation. On December 23rd, 2020, Pavel Durov posted to his channel that the company would need to start generating revenue. In early 2021, he added that any advertising on the platform would not use user data for targeting, and that it would be focused on “large one-to-many channels.” He pledged that ads would be “non-intrusive” and that most users would simply not notice any change. Back in the day, Secret Chats received some praise from the EFF, but the fact that its standard system isn’t as secure earned it some criticism. If you’re looking for something that is considered more reliable by privacy advocates, then Signal is the EFF’s preferred platform, although that too is not without some caveats.
