QatarEnergy в последнее время регулярно объявляет о заключении долгосрочных контрактов на поставки СПГ, в том числе в Европу. При этом ранее политика ЕС на рынке газа заключалась в отказе от долгосрочных контрактов в пользу срочного рынка.
Катарский СПГ будет поставляться на плавучую установку по хранению и регазификации FSRU Italia, расположенную в порту Пьомбино в итальянском регионе Тоскана.
Поставки СПГ начнутся в 2026 году, то есть они будут осуществляться до 2053 года включительно, так как контракт заключен на 27 лет.
Непосредственно СПГ будет поставлять совместное предприятия QatarEnergy и Eni, которое имеет долю в проекте расширения катарского месторождения North Field East мощностью в 32 млн тонн в год. Доля итальянской компании в проекте составляет 3,125%.
