Музей открыт в 1990 году на базе гимназии №51 по инициативе трех гомельчан – ветерана вооруженных конфликтов в Египте Юрия Политова и участников боевых действий в Афганистане Сергея Чайкуна и Сергея Евмененко. Первые двое работали в администрации тогда еще школы и договорились о том, что в экспозиции будут отражены все горячие точки, где воевали советские призывники. Meanwhile, the company which owns Telegram is registered in the British Virgin Islands. WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world.
