فدراسیون جهانی دندانپزشکی اولین روز بهار یعنی ۲۰ مارس را روز جهانی سلامت دهان (WOHD) نام گذاشته است. این فدراسیون همه‌ساله می‌کوشد با برگزاری کمپین و تشویق اعضای خود در سراسر جهان برای برگزاری برنامه‌های مرتبط با سلامت دهان، عادات بهداشتی را در دنیا اشاعه دهد و در نهایت از برگزیدگان برگزاری کمپین‌ها تجلیل می‌کند. رقابت‌های روز جهانی سلامت دهان چهار حوزه را در بر می‌گیرد:
