🔹 در نشست «خبرنگار ویژه» در چارچوب فوروم دوحه ۲۰۲۴، سعد بن شریده الکعبی، وزیر امور انرژی قطر، به برنامه‌های جامع قطر برای گسترش و نوسازی صنعت انرژی اشاره کرد. وی اعلام کرد که تولید گاز طبیعی مایع (LNG) این کشور به ۱۶۰ میلیون تن در سال خواهد رسید و برای کاهش آثار زیست‌محیطی، از فناوری‌های جذب و ذخیره‌سازی کربن استفاده می‌شود.
🔹 همچنین تمامی کشتی‌های LNG قطر با گاز طبیعی مایع تأمین سوخت خواهند شد تا انتشار گازهای گلخانه‌ای به حداقل برسد.
🔹 از دیگر نکات مهم سخنان الکعبی می‌توان به سرمایه‌گذاری در بخش پتروشیمی (احداث بزرگ‌ترین کارخانه پلی‌اتیلن در رأس لفان) و دوبرابر شدن تولید اوره قطر تا سال ۲۰۳۰ اشاره کرد.
🔹 وی همچنین تأکید کرد که سهم انرژی‌های تجدیدپذیر در تولید برق کشور از ۱۰٪ به ۱۵٪ افزایش یافته و با احداث نیروگاه خورشیدی در دوخان، ظرفیت برق خورشیدی قطر به حدود ۴,۰۰۰ مگاوات تا سال ۲۰۳۰ خواهد رسید.
