Л.Д.Спасская — автор поэтических книг и прозы для взрослых и детей. Её книги объединяет общая тема человеческих отношений, духовного просветления, личных переживаний, а также явлений повседневной жизни. В стихах поэтессы много света и духовной чистоты. Любовь к России, близким и родным в её поэзии сочетается с раздумьями о вечном.

В творческом вечере приняли участие проживающие в Пекине соотечественники, учащиеся средней школы при Посольстве России в КНР, а также китайские студенты, изучающие русский язык.
