این اختلال از صبح آغاز شده و داده‌های Downdetector هزاران گزارش قطعی در آمریکا و دیگر مناطق را ثبت کرده است. نمودارها جهش ناگهانی گزارش‌ها را نشان می‌دهند و AWS اعلام کرده افزایش نرخ خطا و تأخیر در حال بررسی است. آمازون وعده داده به‌زودی به‌روزرسانی منتشر کند، اما دلیل قطعی مشکل هنوز مشخص نیست. با توجه به وابستگی میلیون‌ها کسب‌وکار به AWS، این اختلال تأثیر گسترده‌ای بر دسترسی به سرویس‌های آنلاین و اپلیکیشن‌های پرکاربرد گذاشته است.
