نسخه جدید Veo با تمرکز بر کاربردهای حرفه‌ای و خلاقانه، نه محتوای کوتاه شبکه‌های اجتماعی، طراحی شده است. این مدل در تبدیل تصویر به ویدیو عملکردی طبیعی‌تر دارد و کاربران می‌توانند اشیای جدید به صحنه اضافه کنند یا در نسخه‌های بعدی حتی اجسام ناخواسته را حذف کنند. قابلیت‌هایی مثل هدایت کاراکترها با عکس مرجع و ساخت ویدیو بین دو فریم حالا با صدا و جزئیات واقع‌گرایانه‌تر همراه شده‌اند. سرویس Veo 3.1 موتور اصلی ویرایشگر هوش مصنوعی Flow است و از طریق Gemini و Vertex API نیز در دسترس قرار دارد.
گوگل اعلام کرده از زمان عرضه Flow، کاربران بیش از ۲۷۵ میلیون ویدیو با این سیستم ساخته‌اند.
هرچند Veo 3.1 هنوز به واقع‌گرایی مدل Sora 2 شرکت OpenAI نرسیده، اما جهت‌گیری گوگل به سمت ابزارهای خلاقانه و ویرایش حرفه‌ای، گامی جدی در آینده تولید ویدیو با هوش مصنوعی است.
