Я позволю себе, как юбиляр) именно так назвать этот праздник, поскольку "День полиции" режет глаз и ухо, а "День сотрудника органов внутренних дел Российской Федерации" звучит слишком официально и наверняка сформулирован так для того, чтобы закамуфлировать слово "полиция")
Поздравляем порядочных сотрудников МВД с праздником! А не порядочные есть, увы, в любой системе, поэтому не будем о них.
