عن حمزة بن حمران قال: دخلت إلى الصادق (عليه السّلام) فقال لي: يا حمزة من أين أقبلت؟ قلت: من الكوفة، فبكى، ثمّ قال: ذكرت ما صنع بعمّي زيد ذكرت مقتله و قد أصاب جبينه سهم فجاء ابنه يحيى فقال له: ابشر يا أبتاه فإنّك ترد على رسول اللّه و فاطمة و الحسن و الحسين (صلوات اللّه عليهم) قال: أجل يا بني ثمّ دعى بحدّاد فنزع السهم فكانت نفسه معه فجيء به إلى ساقية تجري فحفر له فيها و دفن و أجرى عليه الماء و كان معهم غلام سندي لبعضهم فذهب إلى يوسف بن عمر من الغد فأخبره بدفنهم إيّاه فأخرجه فصلبه في الكناسة أربع سنين ثمّ أمر به فأحرق بالنار و ذرى في الرياح فلعن اللّه قاتله و خاذله و إلى اللّه أشكو ما نزل بنا أهل بيت نبيّه بعد موته و به نستعين.
