ثم انظر ـ سلّمك الله ـ إلى تناقضهم: يحتفلون بالمولد، ويزعمون أنّه دين، ويقولون: هو عيد شرعي، ويجب فيه إظهار السرور! فيا لله العجب! وهل الأعياد إلا عبادات محضة؟ وهل العبادات إلا توقيفية لا مدخل للرأي فيها؟
فإن قلت لهم: هاتوا دليلكم، تراه يلوّح بالملعقة في وجهك، ويصيح: نحن نعظِّم شرائع الله. فيقال له: يا ناصر الملاعق، العيد عبادة، والعبادات لا تثبت بالهوى، وإنما بدليل صحيح من كتاب أو سنة، فأرنا برهانك إن كنت من الصادقين.
