Сегодня в 47 тюрьмах Ирана заключённые проводят голодовку в знак протеста против усиливающейся волны казней.
По данным Организации по правам человека в Иране, за последние 8 месяцев и 10 дней - с 1 октября 2024 года - в стране казнён как минимум 1020 человек. Это означает, что в среднем в Иране происходит одна казнь каждые 6 часов.
Сообщается, что с 12 мая по сегодняшний день в иранских тюрьмах было приведено в исполнение более 90 смертных приговоров. (Voice of America)
