Точная причина задержания депутата неизвестна. Но в кулуарах обсуждают, что Матасов якобы мог забирать деньги у своих помощников, чтобы повысить свой доход.
По данным еще одного источника amic.ru месяц назад депутата вызывали в ФСБ и якобы один из вопросов как раз касался банковских карт его помощников.
Сам Сергей Матасов комментировать задержание отказался, заявив, что "во всем виновата пятая колонна".

"There are a lot of things that Telegram could have been doing this whole time. And they know exactly what they are and they've chosen not to do them. That's why I don't trust them," she said.
