Краевые депутаты приняли закон о новой системе местного самоуправления.

В рамках реализации федеральной реформы Красноярский край перейдет на одноуровневую модель, будут упразднены сельсоветы. В крае появятся 39 новых муниципальных образований: 6 — городских и 33 — муниципальных округов. Губернатор Михаил Котюков внес поправку, согласно которой появятся двусоставные названия для укрупненных территорий. Об этом просили жители.

Процесс объединения и обновления будет постепенным. Переходный период продлится до 2027 года.
