По данным совместного исследования регионального Минсельхоза и Россельхозбанка, нижегородские хозяйства в прошлом году собрали 514 тыс. тонн картофеля, улучшив результат 2022 года на 12%. По объемам производства этой культуры в 2023 году регион занял третье место в России и первое – в ПФО.
В областном Минсельхозе среди факторов, повлиявших на высокие результаты, отмечают распространение систем гидромелиорации. Урожайность картофеля на участках с орошением в 2,5 раза выше, чем на участках без полива. Эксперты также отмечают активную селекционную работу, научные изыскания и выведение новых сортов.
