Іще одна важлива дата: сьогодні, 1-го грудня, Андрій Содомора відзначив уже 87-ий день народження. І попри поважний вік - це напрочуд енергійний, продуктивний автор, зразковий інтеліґент з вишуканими манерами та блискучим розумом. Кажу так, адже сам переконався, коли вперше цьогоріч на Book Forum Lviv побачив його вживу. І був глибоко вражений.

Андрій Содомора - неперевершений майстер перекладу зі старогрецької та латини творів класичних авторів античності. Завдяки йому наша література зміцнила свої позиції на світовій мапі, адже тільки та мова й література є сильною, котрою перекладена література з класичних мов.

А ще він - прекрасний есеїст, письменник і навіть поет, чия літературна спадщина заслуговує щонайпильнішої уваги.

Насправді ми маємо пишатися тим, що Україна має таких людей, як Андрій Олександрович. І ми повинні берегти їх як найцінніший ресурс. Бо так воно і є.
