بهشون گفتم: «می‌دونید خیلی از گلوله‌هایی که به جان و تن خواهر و برادرهای من نشست، آلمانی بودن؟» شوکه شدن. گریه‌شون تبدیل شد به سکوت. به شوک. به شرم. چیزی نگفتن. چون چیزی برای گفتن نداشتن.
اون یکی ویدئو رو فکر کنم از گوشیم پاک کردم… انقدر سنگین بود که انگار سنگینی دنیا توشه، و من دیگه نمی‌تونستم اون حجم رو با خودم حمل کنم. برای همین، هیچ‌وقت نشون کسی ندادم.»

The company maintains that it cannot act against individual or group chats, which are “private amongst their participants,” but it will respond to requests in relation to sticker sets, channels and bots which are publicly available. During the invasion of Ukraine, Pavel Durov has wrestled with this issue a lot more prominently than he has before. Channels like Donbass Insider and Bellum Acta, as reported by Foreign Policy, started pumping out pro-Russian propaganda as the invasion began. But because group chats and the channel features are not end-to-end encrypted, Galperin said user privacy is potentially under threat. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. The message was not authentic, with the real Zelenskiy soon denying the claim on his official Telegram channel, but the incident highlighted a major problem: disinformation quickly spreads unchecked on the encrypted app. "And that set off kind of a battle royale for control of the platform that Durov eventually lost," said Nathalie Maréchal of the Washington advocacy group Ranking Digital Rights.
