На руинах крепости Кырк Кыз Кала работает совместная российско-каракалпакская археологическая экспедиция.
Что там нашли, я пока не имею права рассказывать.
Но могу рассказать про палатку и столб.
Вы не поверите, у них палатка, ранее принадлежащая еще знаменитой Хорезмской экспедиции Сергея Павловича Толстого.
Палатка в отличном состоянии и очень атмосферная. У археологов там общий зал и столовая.
Даже старый опорный центральный столб палатки сохранился.
Часть вещей той самой хорезмской экспедиции до сих пор на балансе АН Каракалпакстана.
Если когда-нибудь в Каракалпакстане все же создадут большой археологический музей, вещам экспедиции Толстова там будет самое место.
