يا اخوتاه لا تثقوا بأيِّ عائدٍ من عقيدةٍ باطلة، أو جماعةٍ ضالةٍ، أو فكرٍ منحرف، أو حزبيةٍ خبيثة، أو عصبيةٍ مذهبية ضيقة، ولا يُمَكَّنُ من الدعوة ولو كان عالماً حتى يجلس عند عالمٍ سلفيٍ نقي المشربِ على الأقل أربع سنين (وكنت من قبل أقول عشر سنين فخففتها نزولاً عند رغبة بعض مشايخي) وذلك حتى يثبت خلو دمه وعصبه وعقله وقلبه وجميع بدنه وفكره وتصوره مما كان عليه مِن انحرافٍ وضلالٍ لِمَا رأيته مِنْ تلاعب كثيرٍ مِنْ هؤلاء الذين يستبدلون الدِّثَارَ الحزبي بدثارٍ سلفيٍّ خديعةً ومكراً ويُبْقُون الشعار الحزبي كامناً إلى حين وثوق الشباب السلفي بهم ثم ينقضون عليهم انقضاضة ذئبٍ جائعٍ، أو كلبٍ مسعور، فيَجُرُّونَهُمْ إلى ماهو أسوءُ من الذي كان عليه داعية الضلالة المتستر، نكايةً بالسلفية التي هي الدين الحق".

WhatsApp, a rival messaging platform, introduced some measures to counter disinformation when Covid-19 was first sweeping the world. On February 27th, Durov posted that Channels were becoming a source of unverified information and that the company lacks the ability to check on their veracity. He urged users to be mistrustful of the things shared on Channels, and initially threatened to block the feature in the countries involved for the length of the war, saying that he didn’t want Telegram to be used to aggravate conflict or incite ethnic hatred. He did, however, walk back this plan when it became clear that they had also become a vital communications tool for Ukrainian officials and citizens to help coordinate their resistance and evacuations. The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) had carried out a similar exercise in 2017 in a matter related to circulation of messages through WhatsApp. In addition, Telegram's architecture limits the ability to slow the spread of false information: the lack of a central public feed, and the fact that comments are easily disabled in channels, reduce the space for public pushback. The regulator said it has been undertaking several campaigns to educate the investors to be vigilant while taking investment decisions based on stock tips.
