لو نظرنا في عدد كبير من الأحاديث التي نقلها أكثر من صحابي عن رسول الله ﷺ سنجد أن ألفاظ الصحابي الأول مختلفة عن ألفاظ الثاني ورغم أن المعنى المنقول واحد لكن الغرض من ذكر هذا هو بيان أن الصحابي كان ينقل أقوال رسول الله ﷺ بالمعنى الذي فهمه وليس تسجيلاً صوتيًا، فمن يرى أن الحجة في ما نقله الصحابي دون فهمه فليلتزم رد أحاديث الصحابة نفسها التي رويت بالمعنى دون النقل الحرفي لأقوال رسول الله ﷺ لأن الحجة ليست في ما فهمه على قول هؤلاء النوكى، وهذه الأحاديث كثيرة جدًا إن لم يكن كلها كذلك، وإن قبل روايتهم بالمعنى الذي فهموه عن رسول الله ﷺ لم يكن هناك فرق بين ما قبله وما رده إلا محض الهوى، وإساءة الأدب مع أصحاب رسول الله ﷺ.
