В городе доказаны два случая заболеваний, которые проявились после употребления вейпов. Одному пациенту диагностировали EVALI, другому — токсическое воздействие курительных смесей на центральную нервную систему.
Известно, что EVALI поражает бронхиолы. Она проявляется в виде воспаления, образования рубцов, сужения бронхиол. Выявляется заболевание при прослушивании легких, которые издают звук, напоминающий треск лопающегося попкорна.
Впервые EVALI диагностировано в 2019 году в США. Сегодня медицина не имеет эффективного лечения для этой формы бронхиолита. Тяжелое заболевание вызывает ароматизатор диацетил, который вызывает болезни лёгких, если регулярно его вдыхать.
