5 октября 2025 года, примерно в 14:30, на 882 км ФАД «Кавказ», в Каякентском районе, 62-летний житель Рутульского района, управляя автомобилем «Nissan Terrano», выехал на полосу встречного движения и столкнулся с фурой «DAF» под управлением 42-летнего жителя Азербайджана.
В результате ДТП водитель легкового автомобиля от полученных тяжких телесных повреждений скончался на месте происшествия. Водитель фуры доставлен в больницу.
