در راستای پویش ملی «غذای ما، فردای ما» که به مناسبت روز جهانی غذا از قلب دانشگاه‌های ایران جرقه زده شد، بخش «پیام مهربانی» با هدف ترویج فرهنگ مصرف آگاهانه و نگهداری صحیح مواد غذایی، توسط اتحادیه انجمن‌های علمی دانشجویی مهندسی صنایع غذایی ایران و به همت انجمن علمی مهندسی صنایع غذایی دانشگاه ارومیه برگزار شد. در این بخش، بروشورهایی با محوریت اصول نگهداری مواد غذایی، کاهش ضایعات مواد غذایی و اهداف روز جهانی غذا میان افراد توزیع شد و اعضای انجمن در فضای سلف دانشگاه، نکات علمی و کاربردی مربوط به اهمیت تغذیه سالم و پایداری غذایی را برای افراد تشریح کردند. این اقدام، یادآور آن بود که مهربانی فقط در رفتار نیست، بلکه در انتخاب‌های روزانه ما هم هست. در هر لقمه‌ای که با آگاهی برداشته می‌شود، فردایی سبزتر و سالم‌تر برای زمین و انسان رقم می‌خورد🌱
