🧪دانشمندان دانشگاه آکسفورد با همکاری شرکت دارویی NuCana موفق به توسعه ترکیب ضدسرطان جدیدی به نام NUC-7738 شده‌اند که ۴۰ برابر قوی‌تر از شیمی‌درمانی عمل می‌کند. این ترکیب از ماده‌ای طبیعی به نام کوردیسپین (cordycepin) استخراج شده که در قارچ هیمالیایی Cordyceps militaris یافت می‌شود.
🌿 در طب سنتی چین از این قارچ برای تقویت بدن استفاده می‌شده، اما حالا با کمک فناوری ProTide، نسخه‌ای پایدارتر و مؤثرتر از آن برای نابودی سلول‌های سرطانی ساخته شده است.
💥 این دارو برخلاف کوردیسپین طبیعی، در بدن پایدار می‌ماند و مستقیماً وارد سلول‌های سرطانی شده و آن‌ها را از بین می‌برد.
⚗️ این دارو پس از نتایج موفق در آزمایش‌های اولیه انسانی (فاز 1)، اکنون وارد مرحله فاز ۲ کارآزمایی بالینی شده و امید می‌رود در آینده به سلاحی قدرتمند علیه سرطان تبدیل شود.
