Каттинджери Кришна Хеббара ( 1911-1996).
Родился в городе Удипи индийского штата Карнатака в семье браминов. (члены высшей варны индуистского общества.)
Отец Каттинджери был скульптором любителем, так что он начал довольно рано проявлять интерес к искусству. Сначало Каттинджери учился живописи в школе Мумбаи,а после продолжил обучение в Париже .
Каттинджери вдохновлялся Гогеном. В работах художника прослеживается тема сельской жизни Индии. Каттинджери умело считал традиционный индийский и европейский стиль и техники. Художник любил эксперименты с материалами, стилем и смыслами .
Завоевал международное признание на выставках Art Now In India в 1965 году.
