The title could be about a weighted blanket, or a comfy hoodie, but it's not. It is actually about the event I was lucky enough to be invited to.
It still bogs my mind just how cozy I felt in a completely new city with almost all unknown people (I was extremely fortunate to meet Asiya, who we attended a speaking club with, IRL 🩷 and of course I knew Liliya Ayatskova, the soul and the leader of the team 🧡).
Even though I am not taking about blankets (I kind of am actually LOL), throughout the whole event I felt as though I was wrapped snuggly into one, sitting in my rocking chair with a cup of tea.
And it's all because of the people (organizers, speakers and anybody and everybody I managed to talk to) and the ambience they created ☀️
So, the perfect ratio for me is 1 cozy ELT-event/50 or so amazing people.
I am definitely coming back to Voronezh.
P.S. If you have seen my presentation, I would be supremely grateful if you shared any feedback you might have 🩷

What distinguishes the app from competitors is its use of what's known as channels: Public or private feeds of photos and videos that can be set up by one person or an organization. The channels have become popular with on-the-ground journalists, aid workers and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who broadcasts on a Telegram channel. The channels can be followed by an unlimited number of people. Unlike Facebook, Twitter and other popular social networks, there is no advertising on Telegram and the flow of information is not driven by an algorithm. Stocks dropped on Friday afternoon, as gains made earlier in the day on hopes for diplomatic progress between Russia and Ukraine turned to losses. Technology stocks were hit particularly hard by higher bond yields. "The result is on this photo: fiery 'greetings' to the invaders," the Security Service of Ukraine wrote alongside a photo showing several military vehicles among plumes of black smoke. Asked about its stance on disinformation, Telegram spokesperson Remi Vaughn told AFP: "As noted by our CEO, the sheer volume of information being shared on channels makes it extremely difficult to verify, so it's important that users double-check what they read." "The inflation fire was already hot and now with war-driven inflation added to the mix, it will grow even hotter, setting off a scramble by the world’s central banks to pull back their stimulus earlier than expected," Chris Rupkey, chief economist at FWDBONDS, wrote in an email. "A spike in inflation rates has preceded economic recessions historically and this time prices have soared to levels that once again pose a threat to growth."
