Нефтепровод проходит с севера на юг через 2 городских округа: Охтинский и Ногликский. Если говорить о технических характеристиках, то общая протяженность трассы составляет 117 км, а диаметр трубы 273 мм. Нефтепровод позволяет проводить 1,2 млн тонн нефти в год.
Для транспортировки ископаемого на материк задействуют инфраструктурные мощности нефтегазового проекта «Сахалин-1».
