لقد كان الشهيد عقبة مثالاً مشرفاً للطالب المجتهد، الذي جمع بين الجدية في طلب العلم وخدمة المجتمع، والذي آمن بأنَّ العلم ليس حُروفاً في كتب، بل هو فعل يُنقذُ أمة، لقد كان متفانياً في خدمة زملائه، ومبادراً في الأنشطة العلمية، مُكرساً نفسه لخدمة الآخرين حتى آخر لحظة من حياته.
في الختام نعبر عن خالص عزائنا ومواساتنا لأسرة الشهيد وزملائه ومحبيه، كما ستبقى ذكراه حية في وجدان الشرفاء، وستظل صدى روحه محفزاً لكل طالب علم نحو الوفاء لله وللوطن. رحم الله الشهيد عقبة وائل أبو راس، ونسأل الله العلي القدير أن يتغمده بواسع رحمته، ويلهم أهله وذويه الصبر والسلوان، وإنا لله وإنا إليه راجعون.
