А это - знаменитые Александрийские катакомбы. Их там вообще несколько, эти самые главные - Ком-Эль-Шукафа (дословно "Курган осколков"). По сути дела - это огромный склеп, по египетским меркам не такой уж и древний - это II век нашей эры, уже римский период. Открыт только в 1900 году, когда осёл случайно провалился в вентшахту.

Обратите внимание, у статуй людей тела по Египетскому канону, а вот головы - ну чисто Римские. У божеств наоборот, римские тела и египетские головы.

Тут нелишне напомнить, что в Египте побывали миллионы россиян. Но вот где? Большинство не покидало курортные Шарм или Хургаду. И на мой взгляд, многое потеряли.
