Сегодня в Серафимо-Дивеевском монастыре почтили память преподобной Марфы Дивеевской. Мощи святой почивают в храме Рождества Богородицы Дивеевского монастыря. В день ее памяти здесь были совершены малая вечерня с акафистом, всенощное бдение, литургия и молебен. Мария, так звали преподобную Марфу в крещении, тринадцатилетней девочкой впервые пришла к батюшке Серафиму, который благословил ей остаться в Казанской общине, провидя, что это дитя – избранный сосуд благодати Божией. Мария Семеновна всего шесть лет прожила в обители и скончалась девятнадцати лет. «Необыкновенная, невиданная доселе отроковица» стала духовным другом и сотаинницей преподобного Серафима. Старец особенно любил Марию и посвящал ее во многие духовные откровения о будущем Дивеева.
