بیژن ترقی در باره‌ی این ترانه می‌گوید: «نسیم فروردین شعری بود که در سال ۱۳۳۷ روی آهنگ دوست عزیزم پرویز یاحقی گفتم و به‌عنوان اولین ترانه‌ی نوروزی با صدای مرضیه از رادیو پخش شد و از آن به بعد بود که ساخت ترانه‌های بهاریه رایج شد».
