⚫Студенты ИСАА стали победителями конкурса языка хинди
В канун Нового года индийское землячество «Хиндустани самадж» подвело итоги конкурса по языку хинди, который состоялся в ИСАА 19 октября 2024 года и был организован совместно с кафедрой индийской филологии в рамках подготовки к празднованию 270-летия со дня основания Московского университета.
Конкурс проводился в двух номинациях: для студентов 2-3 курсов и отдельно – для студентов 4 курса и магистрантов. Победителем стал слушатель второго года магистратуры Никита Цыганков. Кроме них призовые места заняли студентка третьего курса Алина Витер (2 место) и слушатель первого года магистратуры Ян Рязанов (3 место), а также студент третьего курса Артём Беспалов (3 место в номинации для студентов 2-3 курса).

Since its launch in 2013, Telegram has grown from a simple messaging app to a broadcast network. Its user base isn’t as vast as WhatsApp’s, and its broadcast platform is a fraction the size of Twitter, but it’s nonetheless showing its use. While Telegram has been embroiled in controversy for much of its life, it has become a vital source of communication during the invasion of Ukraine. But, if all of this is new to you, let us explain, dear friends, what on Earth a Telegram is meant to be, and why you should, or should not, need to care. Telegram, which does little policing of its content, has also became a hub for Russian propaganda and misinformation. Many pro-Kremlin channels have become popular, alongside accounts of journalists and other independent observers. The news also helped traders look past another report showing decades-high inflation and shake off some of the volatility from recent sessions. The Bureau of Labor Statistics' February Consumer Price Index (CPI) this week showed another surge in prices even before Russia escalated its attacks in Ukraine. The headline CPI — soaring 7.9% over last year — underscored the sticky inflationary pressures reverberating across the U.S. economy, with everything from groceries to rents and airline fares getting more expensive for everyday consumers. At the start of 2018, the company attempted to launch an Initial Coin Offering (ICO) which would enable it to enable payments (and earn the cash that comes from doing so). The initial signals were promising, especially given Telegram’s user base is already fairly crypto-savvy. It raised an initial tranche of cash – worth more than a billion dollars – to help develop the coin before opening sales to the public. Unfortunately, third-party sales of coins bought in those initial fundraising rounds raised the ire of the SEC, which brought the hammer down on the whole operation. In 2020, officials ordered Telegram to pay a fine of $18.5 million and hand back much of the cash that it had raised. On Feb. 27, however, he admitted from his Russian-language account that "Telegram channels are increasingly becoming a source of unverified information related to Ukrainian events."
