Спасатели обнаружили тела всех 22 погибших (19 туристов и трех членов экипажа). Их доставили в Петропавловск-Камчатский для опознания, сообщило МЧС.

Вертолет Ми-8 пропал 31 августа. Его обломки нашли на следующий день в районе горного массива Вачкажец. Предварительно, вертолет врезался в сопку из-за плохой видимости.

Расследованием катастрофы занимается Межгосударственный авиационный комитет. 3 сентября на Камчатке объявлено траурным днем
